The emerging threats practice area will expand the scope of our former counterterrorism practice area, ultimately reflecting an evolution of CONSTANT’s growing capabilities and alignment with current industry trends. This strategic move is in response to the evolving needs of our clients and the dynamic threat environment, positioning CONSTANT as a comprehensive solution provider that can help organizations prepare now to effectively manage the emergencies of tomorrow.

- Use of Emerging and Cutting-Edge Technologies: CONSTANT will integrate the latest tools and technologies to deliver solutions to our clients that drive results. This includes, for example, leveraging our existing work with the Interagency Modeling and Atmospheric Assessment Center (IMAAC) to provide enhanced capabilities to organizations to predict paths and concentrations of CBRNE contaminants following a hazardous materials release when executing a related planning, training, or exercise effort.
- Integration of Emerging Threats into Existing Efforts: CONSTANT’s current and future work performed on hazard mitigation plans (HMPs), threat and hazard identification and risk assessments (THIRAs), stakeholder preparedness reviews (SPRs), integrated preparedness plan (IPP) processes, after action reports (AARs), exercises, plans/annexes, etc. will integrate emerging threats. This includes efforts like ensuring the cascading effects of a disaster (e.g., loss of trust in government, societal division) are referenced in AARs and evaluating plans/annexes for gaps in addressing emerging threats.
