CONSTANT Internship and Professional Development Program

CONSTANT is not currently accepting internship applications.

Interns have played a key role in Constant Associates’ (CONSTANT) success and growth over the years. Each new wave has brought energy, creative ideas, and ever more diverse skillsets to our team. Interns have also been one of our most successful sources of new full-time employees. This success has made us increasingly aware of the need for high-value formal internships to develop the next generation of experts in emergency management, public health, homeland security, business development, and operations. To meet this need we launched the CONSTANT Internship and Professional Development Program, which is based out of our office in Torrance, CA, but can be fully remote.

Approximately every 6 months, CONSTANT looks for top candidates in a variety of fields, depending on our projects and needs. We welcome applicants in all phases of their careers – whether still in school, just getting started, or experienced and looking for a new challenge/industry transition. We have previously hired interns in the following areas:

  • Emergency Management and Public Health
  • Business Development
  • Finance
  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology

The Opportunity:

The Constant Internship and Professional Development Program is built for mission and team-oriented individuals who are ready to put their full effort into developing a powerful professional skill set while gaining real-world expertise.

After your initial orientation and training, you’ll be thrown into the trenches to support multiple projects while receiving mentorship from your supervisor and project teammates. As your expertise and proficiency grow, you’ll have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and more challenging work. CONSTANT will help facilitate this growth by providing opportunities to network with experts, participate in relevant training, and engage in professional development activities. Throughout, you’ll earn a competitive wage and have the flexibility to align your work and personal/academic schedules.

Individuals who successfully complete the internship in good standing will receive letters of recommendation, access to our professional network of participants, and assistance in developing further opportunities – including early notification of short and long-term work. When job openings are available, interns who demonstrate exceptional skills may be considered for a full-staff position.

What we ask of you: What you get:
  • Minimum of 20 hrs/week for 6-8 months
  •  A desire to take on projects from multiple specialties and disciplines

  • Competitive hourly wage
