(Torrance, CA) May 8, 2023 – the United States Geological Survey (USGS) has selected CONSTANT for a contract to develop and execute a ShakeAlert Technical Engagement Implementation Plan. The USGS currently operates the ShakeAlert earthquake early warning system (EEW) for California, Oregon, and Washington. CONSTANT will craft an action plan for USGS to implement to strengthen engagement with key technical sectors and partners and will update the ShakeAlert Technical Partner Recruitment toolkit.
