Training and Development Manager, Instructional System Design Team Lead (Fully remote position; preferred location near Washington D.C.)CONSTANT is currently seeking Training and Development Managers, Instruction System Designer Team Leads to oversee the design and development of educational courses for FEMA Qualification System (FQS) Training. The Training and Development Manager shall have experience and be responsible for the course development, up to and including final production online or as in-person course.This Is What You’ll DoProvide leadership and guidance to members of the Instructional System Design Team.Work with other course SMEs to develop the plan of instruction, course content and ensure final course product meets expectations of the SME, cadre and FQS requirements.Facilitate the FEMA course evaluation and course design effectiveness, including the piloting phase of course development.Ensure the course meets 508 compliance and all other requirements by FEMA for course production.Apply expertise in conducting learning needs analyses and design and develop practical learning solutions rapidly using the latest innovations in instructor-led and virtual instructor-led online, mobile, and social learning while also supporting key technology projects to organize and delivery training content in a highly integrated and cohesive manner.Handle supervisory duties as assigned, leverage available industry recognized content in earning and development service offerings, and make recommendations that align with the effective and efficient use of resources to deliver practical solutions.Collaborate and share best practices in the design and development of learning programs and apply sound instructional design principles, processes, and methodologies .Implement and integrate new and existing learning technologies and delivery methods, including ILT, vILT, online learning, Webcasts, mobile, social, video, microlearning, and authoring tools.Identify the most appropriate methods to maximize learning and user engagement.Manage day-to-day curriculum and program management activities. QualificationsTo be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:Possess 4 or more years’ experience in instructional system design and a BA/BS degree or MA/MS degree.
