Gina Apruzzese is an Intern at Constant Associates with ten years of experience in digital communications, project management, event planning, and international development. Gina has an interest in improving the effectiveness and equity of communications and emergency response protocols, and creating sustainable solutions to complex problems.
Some of Gina’s prior projects include disaster relief in Haiti, non-profit development in Peru, and teaching students in a Burmese refugee camp in Thailand. Her passion for human rights, international development, disaster relief, and love for travel has brought her to more than thirty-five countries. She has lived in five and is conversant in Spanish and Italian.
Gina has spent the last three years working as a Marketing Associate, and recently graduated from the University of Southern California with a Master of Public Administration and certification in International Policy and Planning. She received her BA in Communication Studies from California State University Northridge. In her master’s program, she created a resiliency framework to measure the effectiveness of programs and plans for the City of Malibu in the aftermath of the Woolsey fire and in response to COVID-19. Her research will be used by the City to form a comprehensive resilience strategic plan and assess disaster preparedness and pandemic response efficacy. Gina also consulted the City of Milan and Italian non-profits on their communications and outreach campaign strategies for both the recruitment of diverse employees and service delivery to vulnerable populations.
