We are a small, rapidly expanding company with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services to our clients. If you are an experienced financial professional with Federal, state, and local experience and are looking to grow with an innovative team where you can make an immediate impact and want a supportive, collaborative, and flexible work environment-we’re the place for you!This Is What You’ll DoYou will lead all facets of Finance, serve as a key member and advisor to our Executive Leadership Team, interface with high-level partners and our Board of Advisors, and report directly to our CEO. Duties include:Monitor and cultivate the financial health of the company by producing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and/or dashboards that paint a clear picture and inform strategic decision-making. This includes AR, AP, payroll oversight, cashflow, backlog, PL/BS, etc.Enhance our financial planning and analysis function by owning and leading superior company-wide planning, budgeting, forecasting, and KPIs. Drive internal financial expectations and accountability across the organization.Empower sound financial decision-making across the organization through critical financial analysis on company operations across portfolios and services, compared to industry benchmarks.Provide expert advice on decisions that have significant impacts on company finances, such as acquisition planning, investments, major Federal or commercial bids, and financial strategies and partnerships.Develop, maintain, and expand scalable processes and procedures for financial functions including budget tracking for complex Federal government projects, audit preparation, and systems integration.Ensure thorough and year-round positioning for tax liabilities and mitigation strategies, insurance, and overall risk.Work with the Business Development and Operations teams to develop pricing for Federal and large state and local opportunities and ensure compliance with FAR regulations and solicitation requirements, including collaborating with partners and subcontractors on rates and costs.Advise on pricing strategies to ensure maximization of gross and net profit margins. Closely track and identify ways to reduce our multiplier and streamline OH and GA costs.Communicate financial information and priorities in a way that is accessible and connected to the company’s mission and core values.Qualifications, Skills, and CharacteristicsRequiredBachelors plus 15+ years of finance, business, and accounting experience.8+ years of management/leadership experience.Government contracting (Federal & State) experience, DCAA knowledge, and familiarity with FAR & CAS.Experience working in a professional services/consulting organization.Experience with Federal contracting pricing.Demonstrated success in managing financial systems, improving productivity, growing a business efficiently, developing/mentoring talent and being a trusted advisor/influencer to senior leadership.Highest level of integrity and ability to communicate in a professional, honest and straightforward manner to leadership and employees. Must be open to collaboration, feedback, and comfortable with change.Strong desire to be hands-on at a fast-paced, growth company.Comfortable with a high degree of autonomy. Must be able to proactively identify what needs to be done, present suggestions and recommendations to leadership, then take action.Hands on with both strategic and tactical initiatives. Ideal candidates can provide strategic feedback at a high level, but are also willing to “roll up the sleeves” and handle tactical issues based on the needs of the company.Upbeat, self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and humble yet confident disposition.Natural servant leader management style.
