Chris Washington is an Exercise Planner at Constant Associates. Chris has eight years of experience in public health, emergency management and project management. His specialties include strategic national stockpile exercises, healthcare and hospital preparedness, coordinating with local officials, infrastructure disaster management and points of dispensing/distribution.
Prior to this assignment, Chris served as a Regional Preparedness Coordinator for theTexas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Public Health Region 2/3 (PHR 2/3)coordinating public health preparedness efforts with local, regional, and state officials.This role also involved planning healthcare emergency, strategic national stockpile, and emergency management exercises internally and with community partners. DSHS PHR 2/3 served over 8 million people and encompassed the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.
Prior to working with DSHS, Chris worked as the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for Comal County Public Health. While at Comal County Public Health, Chris ensured that the county was prepared for emergencies focusing on healthcare/public health emergencies. Chris holds a master’s degree in Public Health(MPH) with a concentration in Health Policy and Management, a Professional Continuity Practitioner certificate, an Infrastructure Disaster Management certificate, and is currently in pursuit of becoming a Certified Emergency Manager.
