Your presence is requested at the 2019 San Mateo County Statewide Medical and Health Exercise for volunteers who are willing to help San Mateo County better prepare for a catastrophic flooding scenario resulting in shelter operations. Key concepts that will be tested include: Behavioral and medical health support in general population shelters, shelter operations and mass care, emergency/department operations center operations, multi-agency coordination, public information and warning, and much more!
This project is sponsored and led by the San Mateo County Emergency Medical Services and Office of Emergency Services.
This event is provided free of charge. All parking fees are waived for participants. Certificates of Participation will be provided upon request and refreshments will be provided for those participating at the Event Center – Expo Hall location.

Given the duration and nature of this exercise we encourage casual wear that you are comfortable getting dirty or soiled. The weather will likely be cold in the morning, but should warm up considerably throughout the day please plan for this.
