As part of the a successful Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Plan, a jurisdiction must have the capability to provide prophylaxis (antibiotics or vaccination) to its population within a very short period of time following confirmation of a suspected harmful agent. The medical assets used to prophylax or treat a population will be transported to a Receipt, Store, and Stage (RSS) Warehouse and will be distributed to various customer sites for dispensing. The RSS Warehouse and its staff will be responsible for a variety of essential functions, including the receipt, storage, and tracking of pharmaceuticals/vaccines, medical supplies and equipment.
As a key component of an SNS Plan and vital player in the effort to provide rapid, mass prophylaxis, it is recognized that RSS Warehouse plans, policy and procedures, need to be developed and trained to. C&A has developed and delivered several progressive training and exercise programs specifically tailored for RSS Warehouse operations. We understand SNS and RSS Warehouse operations, because we have supported the development of plans, organization strategies, and transportation policies ‘from the ground up’. C&A staff have designed events that have tested multi-warehouse coordination, secure transport, and inventory software. This deep experience affords us unique and wide-ranging experience that we bring to each and every SNS and RSS Warehouse related project that we take on.
